God's Grace Healing Rooms is part of a modern-day healing move of God beginning with the ministry of John G. Lake in the late 19th - early 20th centuries and continuing with Cal Pierce in 1999.

Cal Pierce

Cal Pierce and his wife Michelle grew up in Redding, California where they were members of Bethel Assembly of God Church.  Cal served as an elder and board member.  In June, 1996 during a service in his church where God moved powerfully Cal was changed forever by the power of God.
In November 1997, God drew Cal and his wife Michelle north to Washington State.  They were not certain what God wanted them to do, so they continued to pray and seek His direction for ministry.
While studying the revivals, Cal had read about John G. Lake’s ministry in Spokane.  On February 28, 1999 as he was praying and fasting he heard God say, ‘There’s a time to pray and a time to move.’  There was no doubt that God wanted them to re-dig the generational wells of healing in Spokane.  Cal called in intercessors and began training healing teams.  On July 22, 1999 the Spokane Healing Rooms were re-opened in the same building they were in 80 years before.  They have since moved to accommodate the rapid growth of the ministry.
Today there are over 2,000 Healing Rooms in countries all over the globe where people are receiving healing for their spirit, soul and body by the power of the Holy Spirit.

John G. Lake

John G. Lake, was born in 1870, in Canada. His Healing and preaching ministry spanned the years from 1898 until his death in 1935, in Spokane Washington. He was known as God's "Apostle to Africa." In 1908, God sent him to Africa where his anointed miracle ministry resulted in what has been described as "the most extensive and powerful missionary movement in all Africa." As Gordon Lindsay wrote, "During that time he spent five history - making years in South Africa, engaged in a ministry which in some respects rivaled that of the Early Church." He was responsible for raising up over 1,000,000 converts, 625 churches and 1,250 preachers in five years of ministry.
After John Lake's return to America, he established Healing Rooms in Spokane, Washington, which resulted in over 100,000 astounding miracles of healing within five years, prompting the U.S Government to declare Spokane, WA the "healthiest city in the world." When John G. Lake died in 1935, the Healing Rooms, which he established, closed until the Rev. Cal Pierce re-opened them in 1999 in the same Rookery building and on the same third floor.
